It's HERE! That's right after almost a week of sitting in the hot sun waiting, THE race is here! we make sandwiches, pack the coolers (see Dad, we DID use all that water!), grab the stopwatches, padded seats, scanners, sunscreen, and all the rest of the stuff we will want at the track. It's time to go to the race! We happily fight the crowds, find our seats, and watch the pageantry. The anthem, the flyover, the cars come out, the green flag, They are RACING! This was a great race, and for the first time you hear, "Andretti is in the lead, Andretti is out of gas, Andretti Wins the Indy 500!" I guess the trick to to have Alexander Rossi actually drive the car for TEAM Andretti. Rossi didn't even make it another lap around the track after the finish. It really was a good race.
