As you may recall from Katie's birthday pictures, she got a box with a helmet in it. That was to let her know that she would be taking a ride to school that was planned for Monday the 28 (the day of her party). Well it was raining and had tornado warnings so that ride was canceled.
The next day might have been a little chilly to start with but the forecast was great. So, after a brief morning check, the ride was ON! So after suiting up, we left the College of Education parking lot and rode to the CDC parking lot. The smiles kept on growing until we pulled into the lot. There Katie's entire class was waiting to see her pull in. Talk about a proud girl. Even the little miss-communication on dismount didn't darken her smile ("I'm O.K. Daddy, the helmet saved me.") She will definitely be the talk of the class today.
