The following is our daily journals from the trip. Katie's is copied down exactly as she wrote it, and Jimmy's is my best translation of what he said (I wrote it down each day).
Jim
Today was MGM studios. As we were getting ready I noticed that my
backpack was ripped pretty badly at the top so I didn't trust it. The
hip sack seemed too big for the rides and seats with bottle holders on
each side, so I was just going to use my cargo shorts. as I started to
pack everything, I quickly realized that wasn't going to work. So I purchased
Katie a little hip sack for her autograph book, it worked perfect except
for one thing, Jimmy. So I got him one just like it, and decided what
the heck, it's vacation and got one for myself. The kids thought that
the fact that we all had one was cool, and enjoyed pointing it out to
everyone all day.
Once we got in to the park, we had a quick breakfast and got some fast
passes to the Tower of Terror (Jimmy was tall enough for it). But, the
name apparently scared him because he started to explain how he just
didn't want to go on it and that "terror" meant REALLY SCARY. Since we
had time, I wasn't worried. We headed on over to watch Beauty and the
Beast. It was a cool show. After that our fast passes were ready but
Jimmy still didn't want to do it, so we gave the tickets away and headed
on out to Little Mermaid. We saw that, the story of Walt Disney, one
of the Little Einsteins, the Back Lot Tours, the Muppet Show, the Star
Wars ride, had pizza at the pizza place from Toy Story, and then it was
time for a break, so we came back for a nap. The weather was looking
pretty iffy, so we didn't get any swimming in. After the nap we headed
on back to MGM for their fireworks show. We saw the tail end of it as
we were getting off the bus, but since we were resort guests we would
see the 2nd show. The line was awful, but the show was awesome. They
used water shot in a fan as a screen for some of the special effects,
had fire, lasers, boats, and of course fireworks. It was probably my
highlight of the day, and even the kids were thoroughly amazed. We then
headed out to go ride the Movie Ride, but had to walk out of that when
the line stopped moving for about 25 minutes and nobody told us what
was wrong. When I saw the ride operator start to bring out a note book
and flip through pages looking for something I knew we were in trouble.
So we jumped out of that, and went to the Star Wars ride again, WITH
NO LINE! After our quick jump through space we made it to the Muppets
just as the doors were opening to let everyone into the theater. By then
it was 1 am and time to go home. Another huge and awesome day.

My favorite ride was Star Wars. I went in the starwars jail. We were
to tired to swim. We saw the Muppet Show, we saw a dragon. we got fruit
and when we saw the fireworks it was awesome, Boats, awesome. Water,
awesome. Everything. And everything was cool.

today we did not do many things. We rode on starwars tours 2wice, saw
the muppet show in 3D 2wice, saw fantasmic, and got fruit.
