The following is our daily journals from the trip. Katie's is copied down exactly as she wrote it, and Jimmy's is my best translation of what he said (I wrote it down each day).
Jim
Today was planned to be a pool day, but it didn't quite work
out that way. We all slept in, after a late night of swimming (after
midnight!) Katie and I were up first and just chilled a bit while Jimmy
counted Z's till probably close to 11. After we were all up we headed
on over to the main desk to fill our cups and try to get dinner reservations
for the Coral Reef. They were booked solid, along with just about any
where else that would be worth making reservations for. Oh well, I know
for next time I need to do this earlier, at least the concierge was friendly
and really tried to help. We then headed out to Downtown Disney to get
some shopping done. The kids had fun in the squirting water, we enjoyed
the rainforest cafe and it's fake animals and it's real birds. The kids
bought some little PDA's or phones to Jimmy. We got some picture frames
to commemorate the trip, and then we headed back just as the big storm
was starting. Since it was looking nasty out, it was nap time when we
got back. After naps we swam for a bit and then headed out to Chevy's
for dinner with Jeff and Wendy. The food was great, the company even
better (Wendy was a lot of fun, Jeff did great!) and to end the evening
we went to Epcot to watch their fireworks show. We also got in a quick
ride on Space Ship Earth and the Nemo ride, but then it was back to the
hotel for some more swimming before bed. It was a relaxing day, but still
magical and fun.
Katie
Today we went to downtown Disney and hit the store. We each (not including
Dad) got a P.D.A, jawbreaker sucker, and I got some earings. Then we
got to the pool. We stayed untill 11:00.
Jimmy
We swam at night, we went to Epcot. we rided on the world thingy were
we got to go in the future. we saw fireworks, we saw a huge hand with
a glove, we met Ms. Wendy at a mexican restraunt. we buyed candy jawbreeaker,
a sucker one, we buyed a phone, we buyed Mickey and Minney picture
frames, we played in squirting water and i think the water came from
a sink where people washed their hands so it only came up sometimes.
we rided on a Nemo ride.
